30" x 96" Thermally Broken Service Stair Access Roof Hatch
Industrial and commercial buildings will always have service stairs. These stairs are mostly used by building staff, delivery people, and others who need to access certain parts of the building without being seen by the public. And if ever a service stair leads to the roof, the BAC-L-50TB Thermally Broken Service Stair Access Roof Hatch should be installed.
The curb and cover of this roof hatch is a 3” (75mm) polyisocyanurate insulation. It has an EDPM gasket all around the cover and the pintle hinge is a stainless steel type 316. For security purposes, there’s a 2 point slam latch with inside and outside handles with padlock hasps. A lock strike is installed to firmly secure the hatch and prevent any illegal entry. To ensure the hatch does not hit anything when forcefully opened, a lifting mechanism with reinforced composite tubes and compression springs.
With an automatic hold open arm with red vinyl grip and cover release, operating the BAC-L-50TB is fairly easy!
Material : 11 gauge (2.3 mm) aluminum cover and frame
Gasket : Extruded EPDM rubber gasket permanently adhered to cover
Hinges : Heavy-duty pintle hinges with 3/8" (9 mm) Type 316 stainless steel hinge pins
Latch : Slam latch with interior and exterior turn handles and padlock hasps
