The BAC-AHD-GYP access door is engineered for a clean final finish. Once a sufficient layer of drywall compound is applied to the corner bead flange it will leave only the door panel visible. Just like the AHD, the concealed pin hinge and ¼” return around the door make it the right choice for a great look and a long lasting usage. What’s great about the BAC-AHD-GYP is that you can get them in an 18” x 18” size, which is perfect enough for any maintenance worker to fit through and work on the building components.
The material of the access door is a 16-gauge cold rolled steel, ensuring that it’s sturdy enough to not get penetrated easily. It also has a screwdriver operated cam latch that’s perfect whenever you want to protect the components efficiently.
