Ensure your buildings have the BAC-TD Aluminum Recessed Double-Leaf Floor Door for Carpet/Tile. This product is ideal for accepting floor or composition flooring because of its molding strips to provide virtually remote access in interior applications.
You'll find that the cover is a ¼" aluminum while the frame is an extruded aluminum. Moreover, the cover is a smooth plate reinforced for 150 psf live load. The extruded aluminum molding is fastened to the perimeter to accept floor-cover material. It's also an extruded aluminum angle frame with strap anchors bolted around the entire perimeter for the frame. The extruded aluminum is also fastened to the edge to accept floor-covering material.
The automatic hold-open arm locks the cover in the open position to ensure safe egress. The materials are constructed with corrosion-resistant materials to provide years of being maintenance-free. The latch is a type 316 stainless steel slam lock to ensure security at all times.
