The BAC-F Equipment Access Roof Hatch, 48” x 48”, is suitable for when you need more extensive roof access than the usual 36” x 30”. Your building will need this if you have workers or maintenance personnel accessing the roof frequently or when small pieces of equipment need to be removed or installed in a commercial building.
You might need the hatch open for a long time. The type F roof hatch has an automatic hold-open arm with a grip release handle that opens the cover wide and ensures safe access for people. You can also avail of this door in either galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, depending on the specifications you need to meet. The cover is a brake-formed, hollow-metal design with 1” concealed fiberglass insulation, overlapping flange, 3” beaded, fully welded at every corner, and internally reinforced for 40 psf live load.
