This product is ideal if your building is in high-velocity hurricane zones with large and small missile impact. It has compression spring operators enclosed in telescopic tubes and an automatic hold-open arm that locks the cover in a 70-degree open position to ensure the user won’t have any difficulty opening it, no matter how large the doors. Available in galvanized steel or aluminum construction, this door assembly comes with a brake-formed, hollow-metal designed cover with 1” concealed fiberglass insulation, 3” beaded, overlapping flange, fully-welded at corners and internally reinforced for 40 psf (195 kg/m2) live load.
Other features include an extruded EPDM rubber gasket permanently adhered to the cover, heavy-duty pintle hinges with ⅜” Type 316 stainless steel hinge pins, and a slam latch with both interior and exterior turn handles and padlock hasps. Available in different sizes and curb configurations to satisfy any requirement or installation.
